“Star Wars Battlefront is an excellent first-person shooter, and one of the best FPS games ever made,” Microsoft wrote in a statement.
“It is a real-time strategic game with real-world, realistic battles, so it is a game that you can really sink your teeth into.
The real-life battle mechanics, while not perfect, are highly immersive.”
It goes without saying that the first-party Battlefront was not the first Star Wars game to be released, but it was certainly the first to use the new Frostbite 3 engine that debuted in October.
It’s been three years since EA Sports released the highly anticipated game on Xbox One and PlayStation 4, which had been in development for six years.
While it’s hard to say whether Battlefront II will make up for that, it’s a promising sign for the series.
